Tillandsia ionantha “Rubra”
Though the name “Rubra” means red in Latin, this type of air plant actually blooms in purplish cherry-pink flowers. Tillandsia ionantha “Rubra” is one the most beautiful air plant subspecies you could find in our shop and it can grow up to 2 inches. What is amazing about this plant is that it does not require any soil to grow!
How do we take care?
Lighting
You can choose to place your Tillandsia ionantha “Rubra” in a shady area or a place that has indirect sunlight.
Water
We suggest watering the plant once a day refer to outdoor environment. Indoor will be twice per week.
Temperature
Room temperature (25 to 28 °C) is suggested for this species of plant.
Nutrient
You can choose to mix the NPK 21-21-21 fertiliser (which is available in our shop, check out “Imported Formulated Orchid Fertilizer”) with water and apply it to the plant once per month.
